The Philosophy of Wine (1945) is by far the most exciting and best known work of Hamvas Béla. Hamvas himself calls it prayer-book: a prayer-book of sacred senses, the book of the bright spirit and emancipated love of life, wherein freedom, joy and perspective of directly experiencing the reality echoes. This separate and particularly nicely accomplished book of high standard is supplemented by the Wine Map of Hungary. This opus is also available as audiobook performed by the Kossuth Prize winner Rudolf Péter.
